Duncan joined NEL Capital and NEL in July 2000 as Fund Manager for the North East Seed Capital Fund. A Masters graduate in Industrial Biotechnology he has worked in the technology transfer and funding industry since 1996.

Duncan has served as a non-executive director on three biotechnology portfolio companies and holds the Investment Management Certificate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals, the IOD Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction and is an FSA approved person. Duncan is the Fund Manager of the New NEL Growth Fund.

Nick joined NEL Capital/NEL Fund Managers in October 2006. He is a chartered accountant,  having trained with Ernst & Young and joins from Northern Rock plc where he was an accountant in the Group Treasury team.

Nick will work alongside Duncan Lowery on the recently launched NEL Growth Fund. He is currently studying for the Investment Management Certificate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
